As of November 2026, we no longer supply complete Platen Assemblies. Instead, Grip Material can be purchased separately as and when required and attached to your existing Platen Base.

We do still offer this Platen Base as a separate item, but our recommendation is to retain your existing base and simply replace the Grip Material when needed.

We've introduced a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to maintain your platen. Rather than replacing the complete assembly when the grip wears out, you can now simply replace the adhesive grip strips on your existing Platen Base.

  • Save money: Replace only the worn grip material instead of buying a complete platen assembly.
  • Reduce waste: Keep your existing Platen Base in service for longer, avoiding unnecessary replacement of perfectly good components.
  • Easy to fit: Simply remove the old strips and apply the new self-adhesive grip material.
  • Keep your existing base: Replacement Platen Bases are also available separately if yours is damaged.
