Important Component Update

To keep your disc repair machines running efficiently while protecting critical parts supplies, we are introducing an important change to how we supply replacement platen components.

Why the Platen Matters

The platen assembly is essential to your machine’s operation. It firmly grips the disc during resurfacing cycles to prevent spinning and slippage, safeguarding the delicate graphic and data layers from damage.

Over time and continuous use, the adhesive grip on the platen naturally begins to wear. Previously, resolving this required purchasing the complete, pre-assembled platen unit—an expensive route that generated unnecessary plastic waste.

💰 Lower Running Costs

Only pay for the adhesive wear strip rather than the entire plastic unit.

🌱 Greener Operation

Reduces single-use plastic waste by reusing your durable machine components.

⏳ Preserving Stock

Ensures finite parts last for years following the closure of Venmill.

Managing Finite Venmill Parts

Following the closure of Venmill, original manufactured parts—including the green moulded plastic platens—are now strictly finite. Replacing whole assemblies when only the adhesive pad is worn quickly depletes vital spare parts.

To ensure every customer has access to the components they need for long-term machine maintenance, we will no longer sell the complete assembly. Instead, we are switching to self-fit adhesive strips:

Replacement Adhesive Grip Strips
Platen Grip Material Quick to fit, cost-effective, and restores factory disc grip in just minutes.
Venmill Green Platen Unit
The Green Platen (Base Only) Available separately should your original housing ever become physically cracked or damaged.
Need a full base replacement? Don't worry—if your green platen itself is physically broken, cracked, or missing, we will continue to hold and supply standalone green platen bases while stock lasts.

How to Fit the Replacement Adhesive Strip

Replacing the grip pad is quick and simple. Watch our short walkthrough video below to see the fitting process step by step:
